Welcome to the Dental Patients Advocacy Alliance. We are a grassroots collective of patients, families, and healthcare advocates who believe that every individual has an absolute right to safe, respectful, and compassionate dental care.

Our alliance was formed because the current healthcare landscape often leaves patients feeling vulnerable, isolated, and silent when things go wrong. We exist to shift the balance of power, ensuring that clinical expertise is always paired with human decency.

To empower patients to speak out, to dismantle the fear of medical retaliation or dismissal, and to hold dental professionals accountable to a standard of care that prioritizes both physical safety and emotional dignity.

Who We Fight For

 

We believe that vulnerability should never invite mistreatment. Our advocacy intentionally centers on the truth that care must be equitable and protective, regardless of who you are:

• Individuals with Disabilities: Ensuring physical accessibility, proper behavioral accommodations, and a zero-tolerance policy for medical impatience or rough treatment.

• Children and Youth: Protecting the youngest patients from clinical hostility, ensuring their early experiences do not create a lifelong trauma or fear of seeking healthcare.

• Older Adults: Promoting gentle, highly respectful care that honors aging bodies and complex medical histories without treating their needs as a burden.

• Every Income Level: Fighting against the financial intimidation that leaves lower-income families feeling trapped in harmful clinical environments or forced to endure severe physical pain because they cannot afford a second opinion.
